SReA Database Hands-On Training
August 3, 2009-Silay City: A Hands-on Training on the Reporting and Database System for the National Implementation of School Readiness Assessment (SReA) is now being conducted at Sunburst Bay Resort, Silay City, August 3-4.
The activity is hosted by DepED Silay City in consonance with the ECARP- Every Child A Reader Program of the Central Office. Participants to this training are Grade 1 teachers and selected principals of the division.
Participants brought with them laptops and personal computers to be used for the hands-on encoding of SReA pres-test and post-test results.
Mr. Eldy Onias, Education Program Specialist II, Bureau of Elem. Education, DepED Central Office oriented the participants on the rationale of the program. He also monitored schools and checked the implementation of the 8 Week Curriculum.
The Overview of the SReA Database was given by Mrs. Imelda D. Billanes, Planning Officer, DepEd Silay City.
The workshop proper is facilitated by Mrs. Marjorie B. Bastida, ES I- English, Preschool Coordinator, Mr. Jose L. Quinto, Coordinator, Mathematics, DepED Silay City, and Mr. Jeruhwell Perdroso, Elem. School Teacher, Silay North Elem. School.
The participants were presented by Mrs. Marylou Deocampo , District Supervisor, while the overall facilitator of the activity is Mrs. Imelda D. Billanes, Planning officer.
