Sharing of Two Cities
The “Sharing of Two Cities” is a tourism program facilitated by Cavite City and Silay City designed to update each other on their various programs in governance and outstanding flagship projects.
Mayor Bernardo Paredes of Cavite City, Timoteo Encarnacion (former mayor) and Pres. Rodolfo Picache of Cavite City Liga Ng Mga Barangay will be arriving in Silay City on Jan. 28 with 80 to 100 officials and members of Liga Ng Mga Barangay-Cavite City.
The Cavite City Study Tour Group will have “Pamahaw Silaynon” featuring the hometown delicacies of Silay at Balay Negrese Museum to be followed by a guided tour on Silay lifestyle.
Mayor Jose Montelibano and Pres. Joedith Gallego of Silay Liga Ng Mga Barangay will give their welcome messages and the Silay Tourism Division will facilitate an interaction on the barangay flagship programs of two cities.
Silay City will also present its tourism promotion strategy and a docu-drama on Silay history.
On Jan. 31, SK Federation Pres. Loyd Matthew Santiago will be arriving in Silay City also with 80 to 100 SK Federation officials and members.
A sharing on “Interactive Youth Program” will be facilitated again at Balay Negrense. This forum with Cavite City SK Federation will be facilitated by SK-Silay under the leadership of April de los Reyes, Silay SK Federation president.
Ver Pacete, tourism officer of Silay and president of the Association of Tourism Officer of Negros Occidental (ATONO) said that the Cavitenos will also visit other places of interest in Negros Occidental and will meet our provincial leaders to learn the best practices that we have in the province on environment, peace and order, cultural development, and investment.
