Sen. Pia Cayetano and Company on Bike

Silay City Government through the Silay Tourism Office is co-hosting “Pia and Company on Bike”, an awareness on ecology program sponsored by Senator Pia Cayetano on Jan. 11, 2010.

Some 50 Negros bikers spearheaded by Sen. Pia Cayetano will have their take off from Bago City passing Bacolod and Talisay.

In Silay City, the bikers will trace the cultural heritage path of ancestral houses which include maquina de vapor horno economico chimney marker, Balay Negrense Museum, Jalandoni Ancestral House, Ramon Hofileña Mansion, San Diego Pro-Cathedral and Silay Christmas Village.

Mayor Jose L. Montelibano said that this activity is aimed to promote what is good for the body and the environment; and this will help also promote the cultural heritage attractions of Silay.

Sen. Cayetano will be distributing boxes of vaccines to Silay City Health Office and will be meeting the retirees and senior citizens of Silay City during the 9:00am program at the Silay plaza covered court.
Sen. Cayetano who will be arriving at the New Bacolod- Silay Airport will be met by the Friends of Tourism of Silay and will be handed the Medallion of Silaynon Hospitality, an emblem which is afforded to dignitaries visiting Silay.

Cayetano will also be visiting Gov. Isidro Zayco at the Provincial Capitol and Mayor Bing Leonardia at the New Government Center.
