Papal Nuncio Giuseppe Pinto
Papal Nuncio Giuseppe Pinto will be welcomed by Mayor Jose L. Montelibano when he arrives at Bacolod – Silay Airport on Feb. 13, 2012.
Montelibano said that Silaynons join the province in the celebration of ‘TotusTuus’ to remember the historic visit of Pope John Paul II in Negros Occidental on Feb. 18, 1981.
Montelibano added that he also recognized the collective efforts of the men and women behind Pope John Paul II National Institute for Studies on Marriage and Family who are responsible for bringing a national conference on Nuptial Theology in Bacolod.
At the reception line, Montelibano will be joined in by Bishop Vicente Navarra, Bishop Gabriel Reyes, Msgr. Vic Rivas, Fr. Jose Granados , Marissa Montelibano, VerPacete, Susan Velez, Solo Locsin, Menchie Tan, Fati de la Rama, Ann Ledesma and Bobep Golez.
At the airport, the Papal Nuncio will give his arrival message before the Negros media and welcomers from the Diocese of Bacolod with musical presentation from Kabataang Silay Rondalla.
He will beaccompanied by Msgr. Gabor Pinter who will be joining also in a motorcade from Silay to Bacolod.
Serge Tan, motorcade coordinator, said that all vehicles going to Bacolod shall be numbered and will be provided flagletscarrying the emblem of the Vatican.
