Lin-ay sang Silay Swimsuit Competition 2010
Sixteen lovely ladies clad in two-piece aqua-colored swimwear ramp around St. Francis Subdivision’s swimming pool yesterday at the Swimsuit Competition and Pictorial of Silay City’s Search for Lin-ay sang Silay ’10 set on June 10, 2010 at the Natalio G. Velez Sports and Cultural Center.
Mayor Jose L. Montelibano thanked all barangay captains for their support in all activities of the city adding that Silay’s Charter Anniversary is one venue for all Silaynons to showcase their talents and be proud of their origin. He further called for everybody to unite and work for Silay’s continued progress.
The competition started at 7:30 in the morning with Silay tourism officer, Ver Pacete and Lin-ay sang Negros ’10 Kareen Ty as program hosts. Judges were Renea Ferrer, Talisay City tourism officer; Ruby Severino, proprietor, UR Ads Services; Celso Ledesma, businessman and former Vice Mayor of Iloilo City; and Garry Lake Liza, proprietor, LEO Vision Videography.
The pageant’s Talent Night is scheduled on June 7, 7 pm at the Silay Public Plaza covered court and Prejudging is on June 9 at 2 pm. This festivity is based on the theme “Silay City:Surging High at 250 Years”.
