Handog Pasko sa mga Batang Patag 2011
‘Handog Pasko sa mga Batang Patag’ will be held in Brgy. Patag, Silay City by a group of environmentalists headed by Kareen Oloroso on December 10-11, 2012.
Oloroso said that this is a joint effort of all volunteers coming from the different sectors with a common purpose of helping the environment and the children of the farmers who will become future heirs of the preserved environment.
Punong Barangay Milagros Catalan welcomes the initiative of the private sector in extending Christmas packages to more than 100 children from age 5 to 11.
Ver Pacete, tourism officer of Silay, and Leo Canson, eco-tourism program coordinator for Silay Outdoor Recreation and Eco-tourism Area, will be meeting the volunteers to brief them on the tourism program of Silay City.
The volunteers will also conduct clean-up drive, Christmas storytelling and parlor games.
