Early Childhood Development (ECD) Training for Daycare Workers

The second part of the Early Childhood Development (ECD) Training for Daycare Workers of Silay City is now being conducted at the Day Care Center of Brgy. 3, Silay City in front of Rizal Cultural and Civic Center, City of Silay.

The 3rd part is scheduled on June 26,2009, to be participated by the 41 Daycare Workers of the 16 barangays of this city.

The said 2 sessions is a sequel to the 1st session in Boracay Island last May 15-17, 2009. The Daycare workers believe they still need workshops and hands-on experience to apply the strategies introduced to them in the 1st session.

With the approval of the request of Mrs. Emilea B. Villavicencio, DSWD Officer and Mrs. Saturnina C. Sazon, Executive Assistant, sent to Dr. Milagros S. Gonzales, OIC Schools Division Superintendent, DepED Silay City, Mrs. Marjorie B. Bastida, Education Supervisor I- English and Region VI ECD/Preschool Trainer handles the 2 sessions.

The focus of the 2nd session/training is the teaching of productive skills- speaking and writing.A review of Grammar and Subject-Verb Agreement was also done. Songs, dances and games for preschoolers and storytelling techniques will be tackled on June 26.

The activity is with the full support of Hon. Jose L. Montelibano, City Mayor, City of Silay.
