DepEd Silay Hosts Regional Execom
DepEd Division of Silay City hosted the Executive Meeting of DepED Region VI Key officials, Jan. 30-31, at Richmund Inn, Silay City.
Participants to this acitivity were Schools Div.Supt. of the 17 divisions of Western Visayas. The meeting was presided by RD Mildred L. Garay, CESO IV.
The following issues and concers were tackled:
1. WVRAA- Western Visayas Regional Athletic Association Bacolod City will the host division of this acivity. Other concerns was discussed by Ms Juliet Braga, EPS II, RO VI.
2. 2. Regional Achievement Test (RAT)
-DepEd Order no. 7, s. of 2012 stated that RAT and NAT shall be demolished due to the implementation of K+12
-Dr. Delgado presented results of last year’s monitoring (RAT 2011). Feedbacks were insufficient test materials, irregular students were not allowed to take, printing errors of test booklets, some items have no choices
3. 3. Search for Outstanding Teachers and Principals Presided by: Mr. Cian Buenafe, EPS II.
4. 4. Revised Guideline on the Allocation and Reclasification of School Head Positions Presided by: Atty. Sapalo
5. Downloading of MOOE
-SDS Eveleth Gamboa stated that MOOE could not suffice the expenses such as travels, etc. of personnel
-SDS Bronola inquired if there is money for INSET
-MOOE should be spent based on SIP
6. . Physical Facilities
7. Audit Observation Memorandum Dr. Milagros S. Gonzales shared her experiences about AOM’s
-SDS Jessie Gomez also shared his experiences on AOM’s – reavailment of additional of privileges for Regional/ Bureau/ center Directors and Key Officials in the Division level
8. Congressional Spouses Foundation Scholarship worth P30,000 per semester will be given to poor but deserving students
-There shall be 5 nominees from each Congressional District
-Submission of entries is on or before Feb. 13,2012
9. Draft of Study for CMT Coordinating Team Mr. Arnold Sienna, Sagay SDS stated that the structure has to be clear so that the line of authority would also be clear
10. New ASDS A list of qualified SDS was presented to the body. 2 ASDS’s will be fielded upon the recommendation of SDSs Dir. Garay said that she will not place anyone in Iloilo . They will wait for Dr. Sy there.
