DepEd Night 2011
‘Paskong Sayawan at Awitan’ (DepEd Night) will highlight Silay Christmas Village switch-on ceremony at 6:30 pm on December 9, 2011.
Dr. Milagros S. Gonzales, schools division superintendent, said that DepEd – Silay wants to share the talents of teachers and students to bring Christmas message to the community.
Festival talents include E. Lopez Elementary School Christmas package, the violinists of Gov. Emilio Gaston, and the champion teachers’ folk dance in the area meet.
Numbers from District I are HeleniInay, TuloynaTuloy pa rinangPasko, Christmas Medley and Oking’sPasko.
District II has season’s specials from Napilas Integrated School, Violeta Integrated School and Gaston Elem. School; while District III and IV will have presentation from Tayap, EmilianoLizares, Guimbala-on, Lantad and Silay North Elementary School.
Pre-school teachers will render a vocal duet and finale numbers.
The switch-on ceremony will be spearheaded by Mayor Jose Montelibano, Vice Mayor Mark Golez and the city councilors in coordination with Hugyaw Silay, Inc.
