News:

Kabuhi Foundation for Charity of Silay City Inc. will be presenting Daigon 2011 this coming Saturday, December 3, 2011; 7:00 pm at the Natalio G. Velez Sports and Cultural Center.

Kabuhi Foundation for Charity of Silay City was founded 28 years ago by parish-oriented volunteers under the parish program of Msgr. Jose Silverio Jr. in order to respond to the needs of the times.

Daigon 2011 is a musical variety show held annually by Kabuhi Foundation as a means of raising funds for its charity works such as shouldering the medical needs of the sick indigents of the community.

Mayor Jose Montelibano said that this presentation is really intended to reach out to the poorest of the poor in the community and also to showcase what Negrense artists, especially the Silaynons, can do to promote arts and culture.

The musical-variety show will feature performances from the DMLMHS Special Program in the Arts – Music and Dance Arts Major; Manapla Manangpula Performing Arts; Garcia-Sanchez School of Dance; the Golden Girls of Garcia – Sanchez; Kabuhi Teenies of St. Theresita’s Academy Dance and Arts Guild and Friends; Silay Institute; Silay South Elementary School, CHMSC Talisay Dance Art; Teresita Lopez Jalandoni Provincial Hospital; STA Dance & Arts Guild; Equa Jazz; Dancers of Irene Caram; Bacolod Group and Nino Yusay.

This year’s show is under the direction of Janette Garcia-Sanchez with the assistance of Richie C. Perales.
